Lightroom Classic Picture storage drive

I am using Lightroom Classic. Photo data was transferred to the catalog in Light Room by importing them from Apple Aperture. Metadata, thumbnails etc are now located in the library. Everything is functional in LR. I need to verify where LR Classic is finding the photo pictures ie. drive, folder etc. How would I find this...where Lightroom is looking for the photos. I want to start importing photos and need to know where they will go.

You are in complete control of where Lightroom Classic stores the photos. You set this in the Destination Panel (right side, near the bottom) of the Import dialog box in Lightroom Classic. You can put them on any disk, in any folder, as long as you have write permission.

Sorry, I am new at this and am still a bit confused. If I am in the Import screen, and as you mentioned go to the Destination it indicates the following:

Macintosh HD
Users
My name
Pictures
Fungi Pictures
Lightroom
LightroomMasters

My question is: Where is the destination folder. The only folder of the correct size with the actual photos is Lightroom Masters. The other two do not contain picture data. Is there a way to confirm that this is where Lightroom is looking for the picture files before I start importing pictures?

Thankyou,

At this point, I strongly urge you to read the FREE beginner's e-book at lightroomqueen.com, as the questions you are asking are basic concepts that ought to be firmly grasped before you move ahead. Moving ahead without understanding these concepts is not a good idea.

The Destination Folder is something YOU tell Lightroom Classic where the photos should go. It is any folder on any disk that you want to copy the photos into, including a new folder you create for this purpose. If you want to keep the photos in the same folder they are in now, you could import them by clicking on ADD, and then there is no Destination Folder.
