Lightroom Classic Rainbow

New Here ,
Mar 29, 2025 Mar 29, 2025

Hi everyone!

I have been using Lightroom Classic for a little over a year and a half.  I came across an issue recently where my lightroom will constantly show the rainbow loader.  I have tried updating the app, deleting it, and re-downloading it.  I have also tried replacing my SSD drive to see if it was a failing drive.  I even tried making a separate catalog, but nothing is working.  I can't make any edits because every change I make causes the loader to pop up.  I am very frustrated because I have deadlines I need to meet and nothing is working.  I currently am editing on a Macbook M2 with 32 GB of RAM and 2TB of internal SSD.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Where is your catalog file/folder located? Internal SDD? External SSD? In the cloud?

How much free space is on the drive where the catalog is located?

It won't hurt to reset the LrC preferences.
