I am trying to use Soft Proofing in Lightroom Classic 13.0.
Is this the way its supposed to work? I assumed that once I made a proof copy, I could make multipe edits before another proof copy is made. in addition, it seems that on the sliders, whatever change made becomes the new baseline for that slider. For example, if I adjust Exposure from 0.00 to 0.50, the app immediately makes a proof copy, then the new baseline for that slider is 0.50. Is this correct?
Also, there's no history of making the proof coies in the history panel, nor do they show up in the tile bar below.
Perhaps a good tutorial would help? Any ideas?
Thanks
No, this is not right. Try resetting the preferences: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

Well, I tried it but I cannot reproduce it. I get one proof copy, no matter how many edits I make while soft proofing.

I think I figured it out. I noticed that after trying to get a proof copy, the proof copy WAS NOT showing up in the filmstrip. I reset the filters in the Filmstrip, and it now appears to be working.
Only problem now is to figure out why my 2019 MBPro is now running very slow in Lightroom Classic - Latest version. All other apps are as responsive as ever. Maybe I need to optimize the catalog or something.
Thanks!!

I tried doing that under preferences and it did not seem to work. I opened the Filters drop down in the filmstrip, selected reset to defaults, and that did work.
Thanks Johan!
