How is it that the reply by kathleen3048670 is marked as correct?

Two different Lr versions, one apparently a bit under a year old, the other, Lr perpetual, was sunsetted  years ago. In the case of Lr 6.0, the Face Detection stopped working years ago.

Thanks for the reply. I don't know why my response was marked correct.

Yes, LR 6 was sunsetted, but we are using it. And thanks for letting us know Face Detection stopped working a long time ago.

Please do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see the exact versions of LR, your hardware, and drivers LR thinks you're running.

LR recently introduced restrictions on which graphics hardware is compatible with People masking, but we'll need to see your Help > System Info to determine if that applies to you.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
