Lightroom classic syncing option missing

Hi!
I'm missing an option to sync selected collections with the cloud, so I could continue my work on my mobile device. There's no tickbox when creating a collecton.
I'm using lightroom classic on pc and lightroom on mobile, both up to date (LrC 11.4.1). Creative cloud is also installed.
Please don't tell me they removed it, It was the only reason for standalone subscription.

Greetings!

Make sure Sync is not paused check the cloud icon in the top right of the Lightroom Classic window.

Same problem. No solution. I did everything to make the sync options re-appear. They only re-appear temporarily (until I restart LrC) when I pause syncing (with or without a restart of LrC). I did a rebuild of the sync database. I deleted all the sync data. Reset all preferences. Re-installed LrC and the CC app. Used the Adobe Cleanup Tool and re-installed all the apps. Checked the integrity of the catalogue ten times (no issues found). And created a temporary new catalog with just a few photos in it. Also the new catalog has the same issue: no sync options.
Even weirder: If I double-click on the actual catalog file to have it start up in LrC, the sync options appear immediately. They also appear immediately when I set the preference option to have LrC ask me which catalog to open when it starts!
This is all on the Apple platform. LrC 13.0.2 and macOS Sonoma (14.1.2 and now also on 14.2).
BTW: Syncing itself works fine. It's only the options (to the left of the names of the Collections and also those that appear on the right-click menu) that don't appear when LrC starts up with the same (default) catalog, as chosen in the Preferences tab.

That alert seems to refer to 14.2, not any earlier versions of macOS Sonoma. As I said above, this issue started three weeks ago, before 14.2 was released two days ago... Why would macOS Sonoma actually be able to make the sync options disappear inside LrC anyway?

Okay!!  Update!

This time I paused sync and shutdown Lightroom and restarted it.  The sync option for collections reappeared even though Syncing was paused.  I restarted syncing and the sync option is there when creating collections as it should be.

But does it still work after you shut down LrC and restarted it?...

I have the same issue, Syncing not paused but no sync option when creating a collection.  Tried pausing sync and then restarting it.  Still no sync option on collections.

I have this same issue - no option to sync a new collection I create. Sync is NOT paused. I also notice it no longer shows me the amount of cloud storage used. (I checked online and only using 5+gb of the 20gb). Any ideas?

That's it!
I noticed the icon, browsed all the settings and everyting.. I just didn't want to turn it on before choosing what to sync. Makes no sense to me. Didn't realise user interface and given options will change.
Works now, thank you.
