Lightroom Classic Trial won't import Elements 2018 Catalog - help?

I just installed The Lightroom Classic CC trial on my system.  I want to import my Photoshop Elements 2018 catalog, but when I select the "Import a Photoshop Elements Catalog..." option from the File menu, nothing happens.  The menu disappears and no dialog box opens like what happens using other catalog imports.   The help files shows a dialog box opening that allows you to locate a PE catalog, but I am not getting that on my system.   I am running Win10, 16GB RAM, lots of disk.

Lightroom really won't be an option if I can't get the catalog to import...

    Under Win 10, I get that dialogue box just fine. When odd things happen, sometimes it helps to reset your preferences:

    Hi Dave,

    Are you trying to import the catalog from Photoshop Elements 18 Organizer? Is your catalog upgraded from a previous version of Elements? Refer How to import photos from Photoshop Elements, other Lightroom Classic CC catalogs, or apps such as iPhoto in Lightroom C…

    It seems that your link is not updated: it only mentions PSE versions 6 to 13:

    Lightroom Classic CC imports photos and data from Photoshop Elements 6 through Elements 13 on Windows and from Photoshop Elements 9 through 13 on Mac OS.

    With the latest Lightroom Classic (not trial) I can import my Elements 2018 catalog.
