Lightroom Classic unable to detect camera in Sonoma 14.5

I just bought a brand new Macbook Pro M3 running on Sonoma 14.5 and using LrC for tethering capture.

However, it is unable to detect my Canon R5 (Firmware V2.0.0). On rare occassions when it get connected, it is very unstable. It works for a few shots and then get disconnected again.

I have tried a different tether cable, it is still the same.

I tried using EOS Utility and it is able to detect the camera immediately.

Anyone having the same issue? Is there a solution or is it Sonoma 14.5 compatilaibity issue?

I had the same issue with my Nikon D610 when I upgraded to Sonoma, but the latest update to Lightroom Classic resolved it for me.

Yes I have the same frustrating issues.  I've just bought an iMac running on Sonoma 14.4 and I can't tether my canon 5D iv in LRC either.  I cannot find a solution!

Hey, @Mandytaxi & @melindac63118853. I'll help you figure this out.

As a test, try disabling the Nikon Tether Plugin from File > Plugin Manager & disabling the Nikon Tether Plugin.

If this does not help, as a workaround, use the EOS Utility & set up the Auto-import folder watch in Lightroom Classic: https://adobe.ly/4bxszgd

Let me know if this helps. Thanks!
