Lightroom classic, unable to reinstall presets

Hi there,

I just changed my laptop. I am trying to import the presets from my old mac book pro to the new one. When i open LRC i do not see any of my presets but if i try to add them from the download folder i get the message that the presets have been already installed although i do not see them. How to I do? thanks

Is the image selected when you attempt to look for the preset, a RAW or a JPEG? Some presets will not work with JPEG
Do you have the setting to Show partially compatible develop presets turned on if the selected image is a JPEG
Have you, in the Presets panel, clicked on the + symbol, then selected Manages, and made sure the presets in question are simply not selected as visible?
