Lightroom Classic V13 stalling on Import

Question

Lightroom Classic V13 stalls as soon as I click "import" to where the software is unrecoverable.  Random new issue not previously occuring.  Computer is 6 months old.  I've already optimized the catalog without resolution.

Import from where?Import how? Copy, Copy as DNG , ADD?

In a first step try is to reset the preferences to the default settings.

Reset Procedure:

Close Lightroom.
Windows: Hold down [Alt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
Mac: Hold down [Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
Close Lightroom.
Restart Lightroom.

Form which location do you tried to import (camera via USB, card reader etc.)?
