Question

Lightroom Classic vs. Lightroom (desktop) Use of System Resources

Kind of a general question - it seems Lightroom Classic seems to consume/hold more resources than Lightroom (desktop version).  i.e. Lightroom (desktop) just seems to be more efficient with system resources and crash less.  Could that be because Lightroom (desktop) is based on the same coding that is used for Lightroom for iPad/iPhone?

Lightroom Classic is the one I use daily and I rarely see it crash, but it’s reasonable to assume the code in Lightroom might have more in common wih its other cloud clients (phone/tablet/web app). I have seen performance tests run on both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom by some YouTubers and others, and the two applications do return different results.
