Lightroom Classic

I just updated to the latest version of Lightroom. When I'm working in the develop mode it keeps switching over the library mode. Anyone have a solution to keep this from happening?

Please tell us in detail what happens.

The only cause I can think of is that you're accidentally pressing G (or E), which will switch to the Library module.

I'm not pressing any keys. Sometimes I'll just be sitting here thinking about what I want to do and it'll change to the Library mode.

This is the Import dialog, not the Library module.

It's impossible to see in your video what the source is (top left), but do you have a phone or external hard drive connected?

If so, go to Windows AutoPlay settings, and turn it off.

Thank you. I do have an external attached. I'll try your suggestion!

From that video capture, the Import screen is coming up. Perhaps triggered by an event.

Are any of the following possibly occurring?

  • Connected a camera to the computer
  • Connected a SmartPhone to the computer
  • Either a camera or smartphone connecting via WiFi or Bluetooth
  • An external hard drive waking up
  • A tablet such as a WACOM getting nudged accidentally.
  • A SD/CF card attached
  • A Flash card attached
  • A LoupeDeck button or dial accidentaly touched.
