Lightroom crashes soon after opening it.

If LrC opens to that specific image, and in the Develop Module, can you quickly change to the Library Module? Will it let you? And then try a different photo.

I had perhaps the same or similar problem with Lightroom Classic this week.  It was driving me crazy. This was on my iMac 2017 running Lightroom 13.0.1.   I tried Rick Flohr's instructions on uninstalling lightroom and then reinstalling lightroom.  I did this about 4 different times, but no luck.  Resarched it thoroughly on Google, but only Rick Flohr's answer came up.  Finally I called Adobe Support and they were great.  I told them all the things I had tried to solve my problem on my own, prior to calling Adobe support, and they took them into consideration. These helped them come up with a plan of action to solve my problem. It was a process of elimination, but eventually, we narrowed it down to one corrupted photo file. I eliminated it from my catalog and my issue was solved.  I had discovered that one folder in my library was causing Lightroom to crash.  When I removed that folder, Lightroom was stable.  Adobe Support had me take that folder and divide in two. Then I would add half of that folder to Lightroom. If after adding that folder lightroom was still stable, then I knew that folder of photos was ok.  Then I added the other folder with half of the images and Lightroom crashed.  So we kept dividing the problem folder in half and testing each half for lightroom stability. Did this many many times until there were just two photos left. Tested them each and finally found the culprit file.  I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but the corrupt file was a dng file that was created with the new ai noise reduction.  The original file worked fine. The ai noise reduction file was evil.  However, I had other files in the same folder with the new ai noise reduction applied, and they were fine. Go figure.    Please note, that we did all this process of elimination using a new test catalog that Adobe Support had me create.  At one point, support, had the suggestion of deleting my preferences, which I was not excited to do, as you do lose some things which you will then have to spend time reconstructing. Hopefully this helps and if not, I would suggest biting the bullet and calling Adobe Support. They were great.  Good Luck.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s? 

Can you screenshot the dialog and post it here?

At the time the app was being unresponsive lightroom asked if I want to send a crash report for which i clicked ok.
