Liquify dims/dull the image

Has anyone experienced this, it's very frustrating. Pls see attached image.
On the left is the original layer and on the right is the liquify module. It lacks the same contrast

Standard long and short answer: Issues with hardware acceleration vs. color management (or absence of same). Start by checking your monitor color profile or any specific tweaks in your system's graphics driver and of course check the relevant settings in PS. Reset to defaults in case of doubt and start from scratch optimizing the settings.

Hi Mylenium
the contrast is retained if I turn off the Use Graphic Processor check box. I'm using a gtx 1660 with 6GB ram.
the documentation says PS support the GC. I have the latest drivers.

Color management I use an EIZO GC277 monitor and run with AdobeRGB color calib. I would guess its the GC as it works fine ( albeit slow as crap ) on a 16-bit raw file.
