I do have the button and have been trying to use it--it will not complete the process.  I do not get an error message.

OK, then we need to start with the usual request for more information. What version of Lightroom? Mac or Windows? What version of MacOS/Windows? Can you post a screenshot of Lightroom 'Help - System Info' menu?

I am using the updated Creative Cloud version; on a Mac with OS High Sierra 10.13.3 not sure what you mean by the 'Help-System info' menu

Select the 'Help' menu in Lightroom, and then the 'System Info' submenu.

Thanks, that looks fine. I'm afraid I have no idea why it doesn't work. Is it a very large book?

Thank you for your help--any recommendations as to where I might find an answer.  It is a large book, about 50 pages.

Sorry, no. I would try by creating a new small book, perhaps also in a new catalog, and see if that works. If it does, there could be a single photo that's causing the problems. If it doesn't work either, then the problem is more fundamental - in Lightroom.

One situation when "Export to PDF" will not work is-  Lightroom is working with Smart Previews only.

Without the full original files available to Lightroom the export to PDF will not happen. I tested this and clicking on the button has nil effect (seems as if nothing happens). But after some time I did get the error message dialog-

ScreenShot084.jpg

Or, the photos are 'missing' in the Catalog. (Previews show the ! icon)

If you are not seeing the Error dialog, and nothing at all happens, I suggest you may need to re-install LR.

And- Does the folder destination for the PDF 'Save' that you select have full Read/Write permissions?

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 14.5.1, Photoshop 26.10, ACR 17.5, Lightroom 8.5, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 15.1.1 .

I was able to solve the problem.  I was trying to export to an external hard drive (where all my pictures are stored); when I changed it directly to my lap top it worked!!  Not sure that this is the best solution but I was able to export, print and proof and send to Blurb.

Not sure if you're reporting that exporting a book as a pdf is not working or you can't find how to do it. If later, then Export Book To PDF' is found on a button at bottom left corner in Book module.

Thank you for your response. The export button is not working! I have

tried all the usual things, logged out etc and it does not export. No

error message--starts the process I "save it" and then it never completes

the process.
