1. Photo library out of order

I've used the sort function at the bottom to sort by capture time (and tested other sort methods) and nothing happens. It says it is sorted by capture time but you can see in the attachment that the images are jumbled (ex: shots of the green leaf that should be consecutive according to their metadata, rocks should be consecutive according to metadata, etc.).

2. When I try to click into an image to view it, or develop it, the screen is grey and I cannot take any actions.

3. Lightroom gets stuck on the import screen

I've tried importing photos from three different locations: My usual folder, new folder, and directly from my camera. As soon as I select images for import it gets stuck on "importing files.." and indicates that there are 0 photos, even though I have selected photos for import.

4. Folder management: When I try to find a missing folder, or remove a folder, nothing happens.

So, it looks like you store that catalog on OneDrive, on the cloud. LrC is not supported on server shares, NAS, or Cloud. Oh some make it work for awhile, but the catalog eventually breaks. And, yes, in theory, the Sqlite database that is the catalog should work on networks, but alas nope.

You could try relocating the catalog.

Not sure if your photos are also on OneDrive, supposedly that will work, and is supported, but indications from posts in this community, indicates the photos eventually go missing, typically fixed by repairing the folder locations (simply update folder location). This could be indicated in all those ? marks in the folders panel.

In a first step you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

@AxelMatt - Here is the system info. Additionally, I tried to the "optimize catalog" several times and it attempted for 12+ hours each time until I forced quit.
