Question

Lightroom Images within a Collection get Intertwined with other collections

Hello everyone, I use lightroom 6 on my desktop: I was editing a collection from a client this morning and as I was working - images from another collection started appearing in the collection I was working in which of course made my workflow a bit of a challenge! Any suggestions? Thank you!

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply but what is happening does not make sense! I am using Lightroom for 5 years now - and this is the first time I see this. This mean I am not making actions which are out of the ordinary.

    Images are in  collections!

There is a Collections section and then there are Collections, Named by the user, listed in the Collection section.

I have never seen images from one collection showing up in some other collection unless I placed them in that other collection.

A collection is just a LIST of image names so you can easily display only those images.

Please post a screen shot of the full Library module showing the problem.

Also if you are using the Filter bar to select a collection, or even in the Collections section of the left hand panel, you can select more than one collection at a time.

Check that only one collection is selected.

    Is this a smart collection?

If it is a smart collection, images will be added if the smart collection rules are met.

If it is not a smart collection, then photos move into collections because of some action you took.
