Lightroom is missing horizontal scroll bar in folder browser when importing new file

Hi, the horizontal scrollbar is missing in the browser when you import new images in Lightroom. As soon as you have several folders and images with long name it is impossible to read the folder or file name. There is also no way to resize the the folder browser window.

Could you please correct this?

LR version is 12.1 up to date.

A first step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

If this doesn't help, you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue. 

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your environment. 

Which operating system do you use? 

Which version of Lightroom do you use? 

Please post the exact version and not only phrases as "recent", "latest" and so on. 

Please provide also a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. 

There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

The reset of the preferences is only a try, but often the reset helps that Lightroom is working again.

It's possible that there are a value in the preferences is set to a faulty value.

Before your reset the preferences it's recommended to save the existing preferences.

So you can restore the preferences if it's necessary.

Hold the Alt Key, and click and drag from the left panel edge to make it wider. It's not optimal for screen real estate, but you should be able to read them better.

I've tested it on Mac, and it's defintely working here..

I think the Alt trick only works on a Mac.  At least thats he way is was several years ago.

Instead of using the LrC folder browser, click the From at the top and select "Other Source" and it will bring up File Explorer on Windows or Finder on Mac.

Thanks! Not ideal but it works. Hope Adobe will fix it soon. Resizable UI is the basis..
