Lightroom Loosing Files

I have my photos on a network drive. I have a MacBook Pro Monterey 12.2.1 using Lightroom Classic

Everytime I open Lightroom many of my photos are missing. I haven't moved the files, Lightroom just looses them.

Every single time I use Lightroom I have to go in and locate the photos on my harddrive. Sometimes it looses entire years worth of photos and does not find them even when I synchronize the files. I have find each individual shoot date, sometimes individual photos to find them.

Does anybody have a more permanent/efficient solution?

Only other thought is that the application might not be set correctly.

SO as long as you have your catalog stored somewhere, you could uninstall and then reinstall LR by downloading the latest version from the Creative CLoud.

Just a thought. worth trying.

Hmm - does not make sense. You said it looses some of your photos but not all?

Do you have a recent back up copy of your catalog - possibly on an external drive?

If so, you could try starting up with that back up catalog and see if the photos are there or not.

If they are there with that catalog, it would mean your other catalog is corrupted somehow.

Yes that is correct. I will have 100 or so photos in a file and only a small portion of them will show up. When I sync the folders they all pop back up but then dissapear a few weeks later, seemingly randomly.

I will try opening a recent back up and report back. Thanks!
