I've got a lot of video files in my catalog.  I'm on a Windows machine and everything works as it has before, except that it seems quicker.   Can you confirm what control is missing so I can look for it?

I can't duplicate your issue.  Video support works well on my computer.   You might try opening a chat session with Adobe technitions.   You might also try reseting your preferences.

I have the same problem. In v14.0.1 the play controls for videos don't show up in loupe view.

 

Additionally, it's impossible to import new videos. The thumbnails never show up in the import dialog and then the import doesn't work: The progress bar doesn't move and when I finally give up and cancel it I get a message saying something like "No photos or videos were found to import." (I can't check exactly what the message was because I've rolled back to v13.5.1.)

There's an option in the Creative Cloud app for "other versions" that lets you choose an older one. Unfortunately v13 can't open the catalog that's been converted for v14, so you have to use the last v13 backup (I think it makes one when it converts to v14).

 

Obviously that way you lose anything you've done since upgrading. You can save metadata to file for anything you've changed in v14 before rolling back, and then reimporting those images seems to keep the new metadata including edits.
