Question

Lightroom Not Detecting JPEG as New Images

Hello all!

For some reason Lightroom is identifying my JPEG images as imported already. I have read through quite a bit of the thread discussions already and have attempted to change the setting from "Lightroom"> "Preferences"> Checking box "Treat JPEG files next to raw files....". This has not solved the problem unfortunately. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Tiff

Making that change will only work when actually carrying out new/future imports. If you select a Folder that contains Jpegs and previously imported raw files you can do a Sync to Have the jpegs imported.

Hi! Thank you for the quick response. I have tried syncing from the import but right clicking the folder and selecting "synchronize". Is this the actions that you are referring to? If so, it notifies me that there are no new images to import...

Let me ask a very basic question, that has not yet been addressed.

How do you know that the JPG files have not been previously imported? Please explain.

I have done a search through all my folders (including ones where the image should not be). The original documents came from a desktop folder with both RAW and JPEG. The RAW images are where they need to be but the JPEG are not, nor are they in any other folder.
