Lightroom not updating files in drive

I went on a trip and copied files from my extenral hard drive to a samller portbable drive and worked on them while away.  When I got home I hooked up my permanent extenral drive and the files were missing because they had been relinked so I clicked on the missing file icon and relinked one to the file's original location.  I thought this would relink all of the files in the same folder but it's not.   So I am having to relink each one indivdiuually.  Why isn't Lightroom doing the automatic relinking like it usually does?  Thanks.

Relink folders if possible, not individual files. If you do have to relink files, then there is an option at the bottom of the dialog to also relink 'nearby' images. Did you check that box?

Thanks.  In the left side panel, none of my connected drives are showing up.  See screen shot.  Usually they are listed there, and if there are missing/unlinked folders, they are displayed with a question mark.  Any idea why they are not there?  I also made sure that the box was checked asking to find nearby files, and it is.  But that's not working.  Thanks.  Still, LR is locating the files on the external drive when I manually lcoate them.

That screenshot is in the Develop Module. What you are thinking of would be in the Library Module

To be clear, both File Explorer and LR are showing a G drive.  It contains a parent folder "raw_archive" with 2 subfolders.  The date folders including the one at issue are in one of those subfolders - "street_photography."  These subfolders are reflected in the missing "F" Drive in LR.  A partial selection of subfolders from both "street photogrpahy" and "wall cuts" are in the G Drive folder in LR.  I have no idea why or how they got there.

Sorry for the multiple posts.  Would it be safe to click on "find missing folder" on "raw_archive" to reconnect this parent folder in the (former) F Drive to relink all of my files?  I would be navigating to what is now the G drive in File Explorer.
