Lightroom photos washed out after exporting

After processing photo in lightroom I export it to my hard drive and or my files on pc but the colour has been stripped out of the photo which is now washed out. Ive unistalled lightroom/photoshop and the plug in NIK in case that was the problem and reinstalled them. The issue is still there. Can anyone suggest a remedy please. Alex.

This is usually a problem of your picture viewing app not being properly color managed -- for example, Windows default picture app -- or the profile of your monitor needs to be recalibrated.

Mac or Windows? Which version?

What program are you viewing your images in?

Which color space are your images exported in? (sRGB is best.)

What color space are you choosing for your exported images? For looking at them on the computer or sharing on the web you should choose the sRGB color space. If you chose Adobe RGB, that can be the source of your problem.

Hi Jim, Thanks for the reply. Ive tried all different settings in Lightroom preferences export editing ie. pro photo rgb, sRGB and ADOBE RGB and in the additional external editor Ive tried all the various permutations ensuring that they match up and mis matched them but the photos are still washed out. The photos are fine in Lightroom and Photoshop and even saving them from photoshop which is in sRGB as well as a PSD makes no difference. Ive also used 8 / 16 bits to no avail. Ive had Lightroom for 2 years and it was working fine colour wise Recently it has been acting up taking ages to load etc so I unistalled it twice but no joy. Ill try phoning ADOBE this week to see what they suggest. Many thanks once again. Alex
