Lightroom, Photoshop and Bridge will not open

Hi, recently both my Lightroom Classic, Photoshop and Bridge refuse to open.

My Adobe Creative Cloud (incl all apps) are up to date.

The error message is:

    "Sorry, an error occured
Adobe Lightroom Classic (or Bridge, or Photoshop) has encountered a problem and needs to close.
An error report has been generated."

The error message is a rather long text file that (to me) says nothing helpful.

I have attached several screen shots with, hopefully, usefull information.

Hu Sameer,

Thanks for your quick reply!

I checked for GPU driver updates and indeed there was a newer version:

Old: 30.0.15.1165 - Jan 28, 2022
New: 31.0.15.3598 - May 24, 2023,  and that fixed the problem!!

Everything works fine again, thanks for your assitance.

Regards,

Martin

Hey, @MartinW. Welcome to the community. I'll help you figure this out. I couldn't find the crash reports submitted. Please submit the crash reports from the crash dialogue with your email address.

If all the apps are crashing, the issue could be broader. Apply any pending updates to the Windows OS & the graphics cards from the respective manufacturer's driver managers. Check this for help: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html

Open Event Viewer from Windows Search.

  • Go to Windows Logs > Application Logs & look for Error & Warning logs.

  • Share the log related to the app's crash instance with us.

Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
