Lightroom says "New Version Available," but then does nothing after clicking "Update

I'm trying to update from the CC icon and it still won't work - in fact Lightroom Classic does not even show up in my list of installed apps even though I'm using v12.2. Can someone at Adobe help?

I called Adobe and they fixed it - not sure what they did other than uninstalling everything and then reinstalling but it worked so I'm happy.

Can you logout of your Creative Cloud app and then sign back in?
