Lightroom to Photoshop image size issue

HelloI am new to LRC and this is also a Photoshop issue too. When i click on a photo to edit in Photoshop it opens in Photoshop but at this set size image everytime. It is cropping off my original file!Its like when I open in photoshop there is this preset size set. I dont know why that is hapening.Photoshop is set to open at 300dpi but the image size is at a set dimension?Why?

A 4080 x 3060 image will print at 17 x 12.75 inches at 240 ppi (pixels per inch).

A digital image does not have physical dimensions, but Photoshop does the math for you –

4080/240 = 17

3060/240 = 12.75

So nothing seems to be wrong here.

Since the image has the same pixel dimensions in LrC and PS, it should display identically.

What are the pixel dimensions of the image in LrC? Listed under Dimensions in the Metadata panel in Library.

And what are the pixel dimensions in Photoshop? Go to the Image menu > Image size to find out.
