Any idea on why this is happening?

Ive been looking into this as well. it seems that the new firmware update for the A7IV (which adds lossless compressed) is not yet supported by lightroom. I think its specifically Lossless compressed M(edium) . I think we will have to wait for an update to lightroom

So i wiped my PC, went to windows 10 (insted of 11) and i still have the same issue.

I think it might have to do with a firmware update to my camera Sony a7IV...but i am not sure.

You didn't check for corrupted files, as I explained earlier.

To add, go into Preferences>preformance and disable GPU there; is the purple now gone?

This is either a corrupted file, or a bad GPU driver. Try restoring a backup copy of this photo. If that doesn't help, re-install the GPU driver.

I restored a couple of versions of the pictures with the same issue.

Tried the GPU driver and a full restore of windows with no luck.

This now happens on import (with standard previews)
