Its sad to say that after roughly 20 years of using Adobe products i find myself searching for an alternative. I was used to buying a single user licence which turned into an annual licence and now an monthly licence for a cloud based software, As a wedding photograhper i find lightroom very slow. Upto 5 hours to load roughly 700 Raw files. Editing is just as painful.
There is no solution to this issue, unless i spend thousands on a new pc which isnt needed to run other and sadly cheaper software. Its been a blast the last 20 odd years Adobe but i must say good bye. The apps you have built have very quickly made very modern systems seem old and very incompatible with your software.
iv spent around $6800 on licneces to your products ober the last 20 years as a wedding photographer and sadly i cannot justify the outlay on a system thats compatible to edit that doesnt crash halfway through due to high Ram usauge.

What is the configuration of your PC?
When importing from Bridge, processing may slow down significantly if thumbnails are being created.
Browsing Bridge to a different folder may help.

If you're not prepared to use a PC that meets - preferably significantly exceeds - the minimum spec requirements, that's what you'll get.
So if you seriously believe you can find a serious alternative to Lr that runs well on your machine and does everything Lr does, as well as Lr, go to it.

"cloud based software"- Think about that! The large CR3 files have to upload to the Adobe Cloud.
IMO You should be using Lightroom-Classic.
