Looking for .lrtemplate documentation

I am trying to create LrC Export templates for 100+ members of a camera club. I have a script that generates xxx.lrtemplate files. The templates load and work but work awkwardly for general distribution.

Please point me at documentation for Lr template files.

What does a script generate? (I'm not into scripts.)

What do you mean by "work awkwardly"?

Whenever I create a new Export Preset and [ADD] it to the list of Export presets, the .lrtemplate file is saved in a folder like-

C:\Users\{MyName}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Export Presets\User Presets

Easy to copy and Paste these files to share with others.

However your Export options would need to be considerate of others systems. eg. [Export To:]  would need to state- "Choose Folder Later".

There is no documentation for the contents of any of LR's .lrtemplate files, though the reverse engineering is usually straightforward.  As Rob suggested, explain what you mean by "work awkwardly", and we can probably help.

Thank you for your replies. The goal is to generate a standard export script for camera club members to submit images to competitions. The script works well enough now to generate personalized lrtemplate files for each member with name, etc.

I will be opening a new topic for XML files for the LR Mobile users.
