LR Classic CC and "Split View" on Mac

SplitView on Mac OS X is a very convenient way to display two windows side by side in fullscreen mode. However, with the new Lightroom Classic CC (7.0 Release), this does not work any more for me (see screen recording in attached video). Is anybody else facing this issue?

I contacted Adobe support about this, but they could not reproduce it. At that time I was on macOS Sierra. They tested with macOS High Sierra and said Split View works. So I updated to High Sierra - still the same 😞

Any hints? Thanks a lot, Axel

Hi,

I get the same behaviour as your video if I have 'Window->Screen Mode' set to 'Full Screen With Menubar'.  If I set it to 'Normal' then it seems SplitView works as expected.

I think there are several problems with the full screen in Classic CC.  I normally have 'Screen Mode' set to 'Full Screen'... but that isn't really full screen even if it appears that way; you have to use 'Window->Enter Full Screen' to get there (or the titlebar icons).  This 'real' full screen state isn't saved when you quit either, so it will relaunch into 'fake' full screen.

Cheers,

Richard
