LR Classic: Slideshow Module - exported slideshow Videos are stuttering between image transitions

Question

I have used the slideshow flawlessly over the past 4 years, until recently. Now, even after a restart, uninstall, and reinstall (as per Adobe tech support), creating a new .plist file, and even creating a new catalog, I cannot generate a slideshow without glitches, skips, and stutters between images. The first minute to 1:30 is usually fine, then the jumping begins. I have tried making the crossfades shorter, or not at all, and making them longer. Still have the glitches.

My slideshows are between 300-350 images, and the end video is usually 6-7 minutes long. My Catalog has 23k plus pictures, but I had a similar catalog last year and had no slideshow issues. I have tried creating a new catalog containing only the 300 photos for the slideshow and still get the glitches and stutters.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hey, @jimanness. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. I've checked the support case history.

Try these steps:

Use images with uniform dimensions (only landscapes or portraits) in the slideshow as a test.
You can also try to clear the DynamicLink Manager (it handles video playback in Lightroom) by following these steps:

For macOS, delete the following on your system:
- /Users/<UserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/dynamiclinkmediaserver
- /Users/<UserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/dynamiclinkmanager (if exists)
  
  Delete the following to clear Video Cache:
- /Users/<UserName>/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/Video/Media Cache
- /Users/<UserName>/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/Video/Media Cache Files

Restart your computer, and then try to create a slideshow again, and let me know if that works.
