LR Memory Leaks are a shame

I'm running LR Classic on a 2019 iMac with ten cores and 64GB of RAM. SSDs obviously, and my images are stored on Thunderblades in Raid 0 - each Thunderblade sits on a separate bus. I get great file transfer speeds so my storage is not the bottleneck. Mac OS 10.14.6 (18G95) and LR 8.4.1.

Seriously, Lightroom Technical Architects and Engineers, WHAT'S WITH THE MEMORY LEAKS? When I start from afresh, I usually have 45GB of physical RAM free. I have allocated 100GB to Lightroom but within a few hours, it eats away at physical RAM - this morning, I had 1.8GB of free physical RAM. 

I am begging you guys to get your collective heads out of the sand and FIX THIS. PLEASE.
