LR suddenly running painfully slow

Hi

I 've been using Lightroom cc for some time without problem but today it suddenly became painfully slow.

In the Library module for example it can take 10 - 20 seconds just to load one image whereas before it was fairly instant.

The only thing that has changed is that I did the latest update earlier today which I'm assuming may be the problem

Any ideas why this has happened?
