LRC 14.0.1 - could not create a new SmugMug gallery

Since upgrading to 14.0.1 I am getting an error message when attmempting to create a new SmugMug gallery.
The message says try again or contact support.
I was able to get around the problem by first creating the new gallery on my SmugMug site.  I could then edit the gallery in LR and upload photos.
