A simple task does no more work as used before. Setting a caption for more than one photo in a multi selection does not work.

  1. select two photos
  2. enter a text in caption - the text is shown as expected
  3. change the selection and check for existence of the text entered
  4. only one of the two photos will show the text
  5. select again the two photos - the caption field is now shown empty

In previous versions setting the caption of multiple photos was handled as expected. »mixed« was shown for different entries.

Thank you for your hint. Shame on me.

The user interface is something for watchmakers with a magnifying glass.

In this community site, in the LrC community, select Announcements, click on tne one about LrC v11.

Lots of info on what has changed, what is added, etc, including metadata related "improvements"

Looks like Adobe has pulled the old plug preventing them from causing workflow changes, a plug that may have kept redesign down as to not disrupt too many users. Looks like they have decided some processes needed to be changed as to get true improvements. This appears to be adding steps to the UI. As in they have bit the bullet and moved on. Gioing to be learning pains.

Do you have "Target Photo" or "Selected Photos" selected when trying to change the metadata?
