Question

LrC Sky masking migrates into clearly defined non-sky elements.

I love the way it works--until I noticed that it was masking into clearly defined areas of non-sky elements. I have been just going back in and painstakingly erasing/removing with a hard brush all the areas that it has softly masked so I don't get color influence in those elements. Am I doing something wrong? I follow the edit order recommended by adobe when editing images.

With my pics, Sky masks often blend into the non-sky elements. For example, here's an original pic and the compute Sky mask:

Usually, that blending works to my advantage, avoiding harsh boundaries when I make aggressive edits to the sky and/or non-sky.

Are there situations where after you make the desired adjustments to sky or non-sky, that blending is noticeable and undesirable?

I don't think you are doing something wrong. The AI Masking isn't perfect.

It reaches in quite a distance. If the colors were similar in tone level,
I'd certainly expect that but when they are so clearly defined...the
selection tool in PS works so nicely it would be a dream if they could
apply that piece with some level of feathering adjustment available to the
user. They are making me lazy Ha, ha....

There are no settings you can set that would modify the sky mask created.

However, you might try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubirkWcd9I8&t=635s&pp=ygUhbGlnaHRyb29tIGNsYXNzaWMgbWFza2luZyBza3kgdGlw
