Brand new Macintosh running macOS Monterey
Version 12.3
This problem existed with my previous 2015 MBP after the last update. Support user signed on and repeated my steps … ran the Abobe cleaner, which disconnected our session…. I did the reinstall again.. problem persisted……
Received my new Mac.....
Did Install on the M1 Max MBP and problem still there.
Step 1: Start LrC
Step 2: open ARW image file. (Opens fine)
Step 3: “Edit in…” - “Edit in Adobe Photoshop 2022” (PS starts, displays Recent files, no image displayed)
Step 4: “Edit in…” - “Open as Smart Object in Photoshop…” (PS opens image as TIFF, image displayed)
Step 5: Save file, no changes. (Error 2: photoshop is undefined.\n Line: 1 \n ->\n) (click OK)
Step 6: Quit PS. (Same Error 2 received a second time)
If I start PS directly (not using LrC) and open one of the files, I can change it and save it. I can Quit PS with no Error. So appears to be something in the LrC<->PS interaction is the problem.

I am having the same exact issue. Are there any solutions?

I just had the customer service remotely fix the issue. Turns out the old version of PS was conflicting with the neww version when I reimages my old MBP to new MBP. You need to remove CCDA completely and then reinstall it.
