Masking brush in LR CC 12.3 not working

All the masking functions in the new update appear to work apart from the brush, just won't do anything, either add/subtract form an existing mask or allow me to create a mask on it's own.

Hi @Chris21842182hfe6

Thanks for reaching out.

Did this start happening after the update? Which version of Windows are you using?

You can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2JSym5e

Please back up your presets prior to resetting the preferences.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Ranjisha

Check the brush settings. You may have the Flow or Density at (close to) zero. Also make sure you have selected the A or B brush, not the Eraser. The eraser only erases what you just brushed, not other mask items.

Thanks, yeh I did make sure that wasn;t the case.  The brush was totally unresponsive in any option.  Rest of the preferences solved it.

yeh I'd just updated to the new version on my new windows 11 PC.  All seems to work again after clearing the preferences.

Thanks
