When I go to save a file I sometimes get the message:

'Some original copy is missing. Do you want to continue with the smart previews?'
How can I solve this, as there is no option available after this message?

LrC cannot find this file. There could be an exclamation point icon on the photo thumbnail in LrC's grid view. If so, then you can use these instructions to fix this. The fact that YOU can find the file doesn't mean LrC can find it.

On Windows, somethimes the drive letter gets changed, that is another possible cause of this. Drive letters can change when you un-plug a drive and plug it back in later.

Your original is on a disk that is not connected, or is otherwise missing and LrC can't find it. So LrC can work with the smart previews, if you want. However, you have to find the original file and reconnect it to LrC; and/or make sure it is on a disk that is connected.

But the image I am using is actually on the disk I have connected.... Also it appears sometimes when I activate 'noise reduction'.
