Migration from Windows to Mac

Hi Guys

I am currently migrating from a Windows machine to a Mac, for various reasons.

I am a little unsure as to the process here, fine if its Windows to Windows but this is my first Mac and I dont really know what to do here, I just need some guidence for a smooth transition.

I suspect to start with logging into my CC account on the Mac, which I have done and thats where I stopped. 

Then do I download LR first then transfer my catalogue over to the Mac? should this be saved through LR first or can I copy and past my calalogue, is there anything else I need to transfer over here?

Also what about profiles and presets, will I need to reinstall, I think there are different versions for the different platforms, when I bought some I think they came for both OS, Windows and Mac.
