Missing folders

I know the photos are on my "D" drive.   The catalouge does not recognize all of them.  Most are missing from the lightroom screen.  I have tried "show mssing folders", "find missing photos" and the "Library filter tool".

Can I just re import all of the missing photos from my "D drive".  It may take hours, so I could do them one folder by one folder if necessary.  If this is the only solution, then how do I do it?

Also, I backup before installing the update.  I beleive the back would have the incorrect lisstings as above.

Please help, me.  I need to get a phto off to the printer tomorrow morning

"I know the photos are on my "D" drive."

I presume you mean the original camera files. Do you know exactly where they are in Windows File Explorer?

The catalouge does not recognize all of them. Most are missing from the lightroom screen.

Do you mean "missing" as thumbnails that are visible but marked with an [!]?

Or are they not visible anywhere in the Catalog Library?

I have tried "show missing folders", "find missing photos" and the "Library filter tool".

YOU need to know the location of the files to be able to re-link them to the catalog as advised in these links-

MISSING FILES AND FOLDERS-(Computer Darkroom)

MISSING FILES & FOLDERS (Lightroom Queen)

Can I just re import all of the missing photos from my "D drive".

No. The worst thing you can do! DO NOT IMPORT , without further info and advice.

Then how do I do it?

Read the links above.

Also, I backup before installing the update. I beleive the back would have the incorrect lisstings as above.

A backup of the Catalog will not help if you had Moved, Deleted, Renamed, or otherwise changed files on the D:drive outside of LrC.

Of special note is that an external drive can 'take on' a different Drive letter in Windows. Does File Explorer show the Drive as E:. or F:,? Also addressed in the links above.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

They are on a SSD in my computer.  I know they are all there.  I used windows explorer to confirm their exsistence.   They are all in folders, labelled by date and activity, and then filed by year:  D:/2023/Mexico City/raw files.dng.

When I open the lightroom the files located on the D Drive, the folders  do not show up in their entirety.  See below

screen shots.

I must admit though, I think there may be some mix up.  I was using two catalogues.   Now it appears only one is being used.  It could be that the files listed under 2023 below on the lightroom screen were imported into the another catalogue.  Unfortunately at this point I cannot located the ver 11 copy of the other catalogue.  I have opened and searched various catalogues and still cannot find them  At this point I would rather have them all in one catalogue, so I don't import them to the wrong catalogue again.

Any suggestion on how I can get all the photos in onc place?

Problem is I cant find the cateloge that has these folders.  I have tried several of them now.

To clarify:  I know where all my pictures are located on my drives.  The problem is, that the catalogue I was using for my current photo downloads does not seem to exist anymore.
