Missing yellow badges notifications (Lightroom Classic CC desktop)

Yellow badges are missing on shared and commented photos (Lightroom Classic CC desktop)

When a comment is posted for a photo, the collection and photo thumbnails should display with a yellow badge () to indicate feedback activity. Unfortunately after reinstalling Windows 10 and Lightroom Classic CC desktop these yellow badges are missing. I can see comments and likes when scrolling over the images but do not want to look it up several hundreds of pics when shared. Other badges are okay (indicating edited photos, cropped badges, keyword badges) and visible, only the yellow ones are missing.

1.) Edit --> Preferences --> Interface --> Show badges:  ON

2.) View --> View preferences --> Cell icons --> Thumbnail Badges: ON

3.) Collections --> Library Window --> Grid view --> Sort: Last comment time switching ON and OFF --> no effect;

     Sort: A-Z --> Z-A --> no effect

4.) Delete All Synced Data and rebuild shared collections --> no effect

Could anyone please help bringing back my yellow badges?

Thanks!

If you're not able to resolve this, as a workaround you could use my Any Comment plugin, which lets you search for comments and sort by comment date.  Because of LR limitations on plugins, it's not nearly as convenient to use as if it were built-in, but it gets the job done: Any Comment Lightroom Plugin

I'm having this same issue Now that Any Comment no longer is an option, is there a workaround or a way to "resync" those comments from Lightroom CC back to Lightroom Classic so the badges show up and the collection can be sorted by Last Comment Time?

"I am having the same issue, and was hoping that the software would function as described in Adobe help. This is a specific article, but I can't figure out a way to get the yellow badges to appear."

Unfortunately, the yellow badges only appear for comments on photos synced with the Lightroom Cloud, not for photos published to services like SmugMug.  (Your other recent thread discusses SmugMug.)  Are you trying to see notifications for comments from Lightroom Cloud (Mobile, Wed, or Desktop) or from a publish service like SmugMug?

Hi Beclever,

As the badges are not appearing, could you please check this forum thread and let us know if it helps? Commenting and likes - no notification indicators on the desktop app? (Yet there are on the web app)

Regards,
Sahil

Hi Sahil Chawla,

Thank you for your help.

I checked that forum thread and the linked Help paragraph about reviewing commented photos in collections but did not solve my problem.
