Moving sync'd images to local storage

I primarily work in Lightroom Classic, but have been experimenting with image editing in on the iPad - which i like.  To do this I moved a large number of images to Cloud-Sync, processed them on the iPad and now want to return them to local storage. 

Aside: I have 7TB+ of images and keep them on a pair of NAS systems. I have no interest in keeping images in Cloud-Sync for storage since I have multiple layers of backup systems in place and have no desire to pay yet another cloud vendor for yet another storage system.

The images will be used for photobook and I need to maintain the raw images + edit metadata so that localized corrections can be made.

 

Question: How can I move the raw-files+metadata back to local storage and out of the Cloud-Sync.  I would prefer not to render the images to JPG on export since I will need to make additional edits.

Is there a recommended path for this?

    Is there a recommended path for this?

    Yes-  Basically- Turn on the Sync in Lightroom-Classic by clicking on the Cloud icon.  Done! All your iPad Lightroom photos will download.

    To explain, and the first step-

    In LrC Preferences / Lightroom Sync Tab-  Set up the desired local folder that you want all your Adobe Cloud files to be stored when they download automatically.

    Then you use the images in LrC like every other local image file.

      @Rob_Cullen Thank you for the response.  Your link to the excellent discussion (here) also helped because it showed that others have been getting incorrect information (even from Adobe).  I have seen way to many (incorrect) discussion saying that the only way to move files is to render/export them.

      In summary, if I remove files from "All Synced Photographs" (and manage any sync'd collection references to the image), it will remove it from Cloud-Sync but the image will stay local.

      Hi @Dianikes  

      "the only way to move files is to render/export them"- That is possibly the explanation for people with the Lightroom 1TB Plan and "Lightroom"- the Cloud based version for mobile devices (that also has a 'desktop' version).

      Just more confusion caused by the similar naming of totally different apps, and many people do not yet understand the differences!
