Hi,
I am experiencing an issue with Lightroom Classic. I created a color profile using my ColorChecker and successfully imported it. The profile is also visible in the following directory:
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles.
However, when attempting to import the profile via the "Import Profile" function—by right-clicking and selecting the option—the same issue occurs: the profile does not appear in Profile Management.
The problem persists even when importing the profile through Lightroom by right-clicking and selecting Export > ColorChecker Camera Calibration.
After restarting Lightroom Classic, in both cases, the newly created profile is still not visible in Profile Management.

Hi , I've moved your post from the Photoshop forum to the Lightroom Classic forum where you are more likely to get help with your issue.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. You say "I created a color profile using my ColorChecker and successfully imported it". Then you say "However, when attempting to import the profile via the "Import Profile" function". Why do you want to import a profile that is already succesfully imported? The profile should already be in the profile browser, in the group that is simply called 'Profiles'. Just restart Lightroom Classic to make sure it loaded the new profile.
Next you say: "the profile does not appear in Profile Management". Manage Profiles does not show individual profiles however, it only shows these profile groups.

I have the same problem on Windows. Has anyone found a solution? Support could not fix it.
Thanks.

Posting a "me too" message without any details about what you try to do and what does (not) happen is rather useless and is unlikely to give you the answer you are looking for. Please explain exactly what your problem is, mention your computer specifications, Windows version and Lightroom Classic version number. The original poster of this thread posted an confusing question and never came back with more details when asked.
As a note: the old ColorChecker software placed the profile in a folder that is no longer valid for Lightroom Classic. Double check that the profile is placed in C: \ Users \ [your username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ CameraRaw \ CameraProfiles. There is another location where the default camera profiles are stored, but custom camera profiles should not be stored in there.
P.S. I noticed you posted another "me too" message in another, but totally unrelated, thread about profiles. That makes it even more important that you explain exactly what your problem is, because it can't be the same as both this thread and that other thread at the same time. Or do you have two problems with profiles?

Hi Johan,
It is the same problem and I responded there already. Should I repost here or just leave a message pointing to the other post?
Thanks.

This thread is about custom profiles, made by the user with the ColorChecker Passport app. The other thread is about the Adobe supplied 'Adaptive Profile', which is part of Lightroom itself. That is not at all the same. So answer in the appropriate thread, please. And post appropriate screenshots. Posting a screenshot of editing a jpeg and then just say that the same happens with raw files is not very helpful.

Johan and John, I apologize for the confusion. Johan is correct. The problem applies to the custom profile and not the adaptive one. We can ignore the other post and just stick to this one. More importantly, the problem has gone away. I reshot the target and processed it. LR imported the resulting profile properly. Problem solved. I posted this in the other thread.
Thanks for your help.
