No HDR in library mode

I recently selected the option for "Enable HDR editing by default for HDR photos" under Preferences > Presets. Since then, all the HEIC images I've imported look terrible in Library after editing. My research suggest that's due to a lapse in LRC that only supports HDR display in Develop mode. Any idea when LRC will be updated to enable HDR display in Library mode? In the meantime, how can I get the photos to look decent in a slideshow? Any work-arounds? Can I toggle off the HDR editing?

While waiting for Adobe to implement HDR in parts of LR other than Develop, you can enable SDR Rendition Settings > Preview For SDR Display and adjust the SDR settings to your preference.  Other parts of LR will then use those SDR settings.  See Adobe's excellent introductory article about HDR for details:

Just don't use HDR editing until it is more mature.

Hi,

I stumbled over the same problem and its annoying.

I use LR on MacOS instead of LRc to show the pictures 🙂
