I just would like to mention for me this new feature simply blew me away, it has helped my workflow no end. I no longer have to use a 3rd party add-on this is incredible and it's so fast. Thank you.

I agree with you @ggwildlife , this is a great new feature that works better than I had hoped.

When you say "it has helped my workflow no end", I would like to hear more about this, how has it helped and what your workflow is now that you have DeNoise.

This weekend, I took well over 100 indoor shots at a volleyball match, all high ISO shots. My workflow as of today (and hoping for some ability to modify and improve this): import photos; select all the desired photos; bulk DeNoise overnight (really doesn't matter how fast it is); all the original RAWs are now at the bottom of stacks, I give them a color label just so I know I won't be working on them further; edit only on the Denoised DNG files; leave both original RAW and Denoised DNG files in LrC Library.

The other thing Denoise has done for me is that when I am shooting, I no longer worry about setting the ISO too high and getting photos of low quality (even after using the previous LrC noise reduction sliders). I set my camera on Auto-ISO, I set the shutter speed to whatever I need and shoot!

As a matter of interest, Gary - you say it's "so fast", which is great: could you let us know which GPU you're using, please?

Oh - and which cameras?

Hi Keith

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 - 16GB RAM

Canon R6

Panasonic GH5M2

Olympus OM EM1 mkIII

I use the AI Noise control between 50% - 60%

hope that helps.

Thanks (twice! 😀), Gary.

Your graphics card choice is interesting in that - although it "only" has 6gb (the received wisdom seems to be that 8gb+ is the way to go) - the fact that it's a pretty new card, with 240 tensor cores, seems to go along way towards delivering good performance.

I guess it helps that your cameras produce relatively small files, but it's all useful information.
