Question

OM-1 mono images revert to colour in LR Classic Develop ?

Hi and thank for reading my post.

I may be missing something obvious here but images taken on my Olympus OM-1 in Monochrome ( .ORF ) and then imported into LR Classic where they are converted into .dng file appear Monochrome in the thumbnail in LR Library panel.... but when I export the image into the develop panel to edit.... they appear in colour ?? Even though I took them in Mono in the first place...

Ok its easy enough to just hit B&W in the develop panel and they resume black and white again. But does this mean the Mono settings I applied in camera ( Sharpness, filters, contrast) are not carried over to the final image in the develop panel ??

Your advice is appreciated.

Since you are shooting raw, which is the data captured by the sensor before these settings are applied, these settings are not used by Adobe Lightroom Classic.

You can try a camera matching profile, Adobe has provided several profiles for your camera.

Click the four squares top right in the Basic panel to display them.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
