Organizing images by name.

Can anyone tell me how to organize images so they show up organized by name on a Lightroom Web gallery? On LR Classic, they are arranged by name, but on the web gallery, they show up in a random order.

I have also tried to organize the gallery in question on LR Web by filtering by custom or date options. They are the only options available.

I am working on LR Classic and am working on an M1 machine.

Correct answer Ian Lyons

The web module in LrC, and the galleries created therein are not related to the web gallery feature in Lr Web.

The web galleries in Lr Web are sorted by Capture Date. Unfortuanely, the sort order cannot be changed.

"Lightroom Web gallery"? Is that the Web module in LrC? Or do you synchronize a collection in LrC with the Adobe cloud? Or something else?

Name of what? Person in the photo? Location of the photo? File name? Or something else?

Thanks for the response. I work in LR Classic the create a collection that sinks to a web gallery. When the gallery does not organize by name, then I have tried to use LR for Web (not LR Classic)  to sort but it has no effect in the original LR web gallery. I do syncronize to a LrC collection which creates a web gallery like this: https://adobe.ly/3FbqVGI which I mange on LR for Web. Does that many sense?

It is my understanding that Lr in the Cloud does not allow you to change the order of the photos.
