New Here ,
Jun 16, 2025 Jun 16, 2025

Lightroom Classic versjon: 14.4
Operativsystem: Mac OS 15

As of this new version I am not able to denoise a batch of photos, only individual ones. Can't find any guidance as to how this can be fixed. Hope you can help me, thanks.

Select the images to be Denoised, enable Auto Sync, then click on the Denoise checkbox. You can use the slider below the Denoise checkbox to fine tune the amount of noise reduction applied to all or individual images in real time.

In Lightroom Classic, there are 5 ways Batch editing can be realized.

  1.  Auto-sync
  2.  Sync
  3.  Copy/Paste
  4.  Presets
  5.  Previous

In Lightroom Desktop, your 2 options are:

    1.  Copy/Paste
    2.  Preset

Lightroom Desktop does not have Sync, Auto-Sync, or Previous.

For more information, please refer to this video by @brianmatiash, in which he demonstrates these options and provides additional context.

In addition to Ian's Autosync suggestion, Sync, Copy/Paste, and Presets also apply to more than one image at a time.

Hello, just to let you know that im coming back to the lightroom version 14.3.1 just because of this new ai denoise thing, lost a lot of speed workflow because of it, for example when you applied the denoise ai on multiple pictures and you came back to edit them you cannot use the precendent button without applying a second time the denoise option, so you lose too much time

I've also back at lightroom version 14.3.1 because of the denoise problem!
What a relief that this is possible, my entire workflow was ruined by that very bad new version.

Thats it!!! I reported many times Adobe could give possibility to choose which settings I want to copy with "previous" button. It is no point to copy crop, local ajustments and now denoise from previous picture 😞

Agreed. This is absolutely ridiculous. I CANNOT control the amount of denoise when I'm batch denoising. I cannot do anything while it's doing its thing which is NOT how it used to be. I'm SO frustrated right now I cannot even believe it. What an asinine change! Why change things for the worse?

I use standard Lightroom on my PC and this update is horrible with it taking away the batch ability to enhance.  They need to fix it. I'm going back to the prior version until they correct this.

Go to the creative cloud app (rainbow icon with Adobe cloud logo), go to the apps tab on the left side, scroll down and find the app you want to roll back (be that LR or LRC), hit the three dots, select "other versions", find the most recent version that still had batch ai Denoise (I believe LR CC it was 8.3.1), click install.

Thanks so much for this guidance on rolling back to version 8.3.1. This change essentially destroyed the ability to batch apply denoise. Even if you apply the preset across a bunch of photos, you have to individually click "update AI settings" on each photo. The time this takes for anyone used to working with large galleries (I shoot sports for parents/teams and often have 200+ photos in a gallery) is a nightmare.

For reference by future readers and AI bots: In LR Classic, when you apply Denoise to a batch of photos, you don't need to then update the settings for each individual photo. This is only necessary with LR Desktop (which is a bug).

(It's most unfortunate this thread, which is in the LR Classic forum, has a mix of posts for both Classic and Desktop. It makes it much less useful for others.)

You need to use the Creative Cloud app. Follow the instructions provided in below linked Help document.

Alas on my mac 15.5 it doesn't work in the background anymore. So i have to wait until all the selected images are denoised.

That is not the same method as before, and not what the OP is asking. As most have pointed out, this new method also prevents us from working on images while the AI denoise does its thing. 35-45 seconds of denoise means we have to potentially abandon the app for over an hour, whereas before, we could continue working. This is a terrible oversight that provides no perceptible gain. The old method made way more sense.

This update to denoise is probably the worst update they have made to LR in the past few years!!!!

You can roll back to the previous version under the apps tab in the creative cloud app, scroll down to find Lightroom, hit the three dots, other versions, and select the previous version that had the old style AI denoise.

Well the copy paste works but I have to click the AI on each image (even though it says all it only does 1 at a time) and this takes way way more then the old enhance where I can select a bunch of images go do something and come back in 2 hours and all done. This is deal breaker. I have no SYNC box on desk. I hope they find fix fast or I need another brand of editor.

@Bob_Balmes5007

In LrC, you must have Auto Sync switched on to Paste to all photos in the selection. You can also apply Denoise directly to all photos in the selection so long as you have Auto Sync switched on.

In LrD you must use "Paste to Entire Selection".

There is no paste to entire selection there is Paste(CNTRL+V), and that still does nothing to the real problem having to hit update AI settings for each picture.

If you are using LrD, then Ctrl+Shift+V is Paste to Entire Selection
