P: Syncing Masks of faces with multiple people not working LR classic

When working in the newest Lightroom Classic with masks of multiple people, when I sync the masks across images, the masks are not finding the individual people and are all clumping onto one person.  In an image with even just 2 people in the same spots, I go to masks, let it find the people, click on each person, click to add faces for each, make sure it would be for separate masks.  Then I edit each face mask.  When I sync from one image to another, those masks don't find both people.  They layer onto one person.  What the heck is going on.  I did a screen recording of this process.   LR Masking not syncing

PLEASE HELP!!!

it is SOOOO frustrating chosing 2 or more images in a sequence where the 'person's are not moving far yet when selecting by person for a mask, LRC FREQUENTLY will not choose the same person across all images for the mask.  so I STILL end up having to choose EACH IMAGE separtely to get a mask applied to same ( correct) person.  REALLY FRUSTRATING!!!!

attached are grabs of each image before mask is generated showing each person 1-3.  In each image is correctly shows 1-3.  While both images are still selected, person 2 is selected.  the other two screen grabs show person two in each image and they are DIFFERENT AND DIFFERENT than it said when people were originally assigned.  Effin drives me nuts.  Never know when it is going to hose it till I find it did.  no rhyme or reason I can see.

Anyone else have this issue?

attached is also my sys info

Thoughts?

thanks

I am getting the same thing. Photos of a couple. Multiple masks. One for teeth on both, one for skin on the wife. Copy, paste on the next image which is VERY similiar, and it puts both teeth masks and the skin mask on the husband. Pain.

The last few days when I edit a photo and then sync this photo with similar photos, same spot, same pose, same background, it completely mixes up the masks. The names come up, but a face mask is placed upon another person or just somewhere else in the photo. Things like that.

Plus the program is running really slow and sluggish.

Any ideas what to do?

@Enchanting_Gleam16B8 if you are talking about People Ai masks created on several individuals then they can't be synced to other images and obtain separate selections as in the source image.

This is a long standing issue and it's due to the fact that there are no settings that tell the Ai to create separate Masks.

You must create anew each masks in each Correction.

E.g

Source image has :

Mask 1

 Hair person 1

 Hair Person 2

After syncing you end with 2 Hair masks but targeting the same person.

Delete one and create a new one for the other person.

Repeat for all maks, for all photos to which masking was synced.

That's the only thing you can do.
