P: Why are LrC & LrD delayed in receiving the CR-released Tone Curve in Local Adjustments?

Both base on Camera raw 15.0

Photoshop 24.0, the camera raw has tone curve in mask settings.

But in LRC 12.0, there is no tone curve in mask settings.

Why?

Why don't give all settings to the mask? That will be very helpful. Thanks.

Why? Because the interface needs to be coded too, and apparently the Lightroom group had a bit more things to do than the ACR group, so they need a bit more time to do that.

Yes, be patient, it will be in Lightroom Classic in an upcoming release. No, I don't know when.

Hello,

Now that camera raw has curve within masks, when will this feature be available to lightroom classic ?

Dear Adobe,

I notice the new ACR has tone curve for the local adjustment. Any chance of getting something like that for lightroom please.

Regards

 Beji.

Realize, in addition to @JohanElzenga's comments, Lightroom Classic has additional workflow considerations to Camera Raw and requires additional time to code, test and refine.  A notable example of this is AutoSync.

There have been features in the past that were released in one client before another and there will be features in the future that are released in Camera Raw before Lightroom Classic or Lightroom Desktop. The Preset Amount Slider from last Max was a good example. HDR Output from this year's max is another (Mac only at this time).

When the feature is ready, it will be released.

Glad to hear that LR group had a bit more things to do.

I had submited the LRC new survey.

All the survey results should be a reasonable goal.

We also want to see the performance improving or the new feature of LRC, not just adding new UI for Camera Raw's new feature.

Thanks for LR group hard work~

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but submitting a request does not automatically mean it will be carried out. Nor does it mean it will get priority.

Why is Tone Curve as Local Adjustment not in Lightroom Classic 12 despite being added to ACR 15? Is this just something that is delayed, but still planned for Lightroom Classic? Or is this something that will not be coming to Lightroom Classic?

Thank you for pointing me to this! I could not find any discussion of this elsewhere, and I'm glad to see it coming.
